A Heart Like David

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”

~1 Samuel 16:7

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people's bones and all uncleanness.

 ~Matthew 23:27

I asked God for a heart like David and that's what I'm getting. I love & cherish it dearly but it comes with a great cost for the time being.  He's teaching me and today I'm ready to listen.

Yesterday was a Psalm 25:2 day:

"O my God, in you I trust; let me not be put to shame; let not my enemies exult over me"
& Psalm 6:10

"All my enemies shall be ashamed and greatly troubled; they shall turn back and be put to shame in a moment."

& Psalm 7:6

"Arise, O Lord, in your anger; lift yourself up against the fury of my enemies; awake for me; you have appointed a judgment."
