Update on What God's Doing

Since I left you all on a cliffhanger last post, let me give you an update on what God's been doing since that last post.  Amen!  He is AWESOME!

I couldn't sleep that night and was up praying and asking others I love to pray.  Praise be to God for friends!!!!  I am not alone and He has shown me that.  Also, He was prodding me get up out of bed at 4 am (and since I couldn't sleep, I thought I'd obey, but you know what?  I'd obey anyway) and go downstairs to the computer.  Well, I did and guess who was waiting for me to email them so we could skype?  Del and Ruth.  I asked in an email before I went to bed, if they could skype with us and they emailed me back around the time I was prodded to get up.   So, after coming downstairs and emailing them back with my skype name, not even a minute later, they called on it.  Wow!  I love God!

Okay, so we talked for awhile and I explained the situation, then they encouraged me, and then we talked about other things, too.   It was a blessing to see their faces again, I miss them so much.  

After all that they prayed for me, it was around 5 am at this point.  After that, they told me to go to bed and try to get some sleep.  Well, I didn't listen to that advice and I stayed up to email more friends and to give God glory on my FB page.

Time passed and it was around 7 am and I went upstairs, laid down for a bit like Del and Ruth suggested and then was called to get up and take a shower and head over to the chapel.  Every Saturday morning, some of the coolest women of God hold a prayer meeting from 8 am till 9 am.  They intercede for whatever God leads them to pray for.  I've felt called to that meeting, but repeatedly have forgotten until it's over.  Well, God's not letting me forget this one.  I got up and took a shower, got dressed and headed over to the chapel 1/2 hour early.  I knew I had to go at that time.  I went there, and tried to open the door, nothing... locked.  Hmmmm...?  What now?  Maybe I need to walk over to a friend's house first.  As I start walking in the direction my friend's house is... there... walking down the street towards chapel... is the same woman who prayed with me weeks ago at the Beth Moore Simulcast.  I didn't know who it was at first, she was too far away, I thought maybe... but then thought maybe it was just someone up to get some exercise.  No, it was her as I started to walk to meet her.

Get this!  God woke her up at 5 am to do her devotional.  He told her to get up, pray and read the word.  She said it was too early and why now?  But she did it anyway.  It was the exact time Del and Ruth were praying for me.  The same time Michele was praying for me and many others.  Praise God. She was a gift from heaven above.  She came to chapel early as she felt nudged to go 1/2 hour early.  Mind you, they start praying at 8 am.

When I caught up with her, I gave her the biggest hug and said she was an answer to prayer.  She was walking down the street, praising God with music from her iPod, so she stuck the other end of the earplug into my ear and we walked together arm in arm into the chapel.  God hears my cries.  God has shown to me He is listening.  God loves.  He is mighty to save!  Mighty to save!!!

After prayer time (which was awesome BTW) I had a peace in me that was beyond all understanding.  I love that peace and it was the peace I was asking Him for.  I knew I could have it, but it wasn't happening prior to that prayer time.  Well, I felt it then.

The rest of the day was pretty uneventful.

However, at church the next day... a pastor from another service had to give the message because of an emergency with the main chaplain.

The message was exactly what we needed to hear.
