Not sure what is going on with Turkey and Blogger, but I have access to it sometimes and at other times I don't. Well, I'm going to take advantage of it and write now while I have the chance.
Apparently, Turkey was upset with a few Bloggers who were taking advantage of things and posting videos that Turkey had rights to. (A very legitimate reason to be upset, but no reason to block a whole site when the perpetrators could have been dealt with individually.) Blogger is trying to fix the situation so that everyone else has access to their personal journal. I think it's a little selfish and messed up that a country would block millions of innocent people from their journals because a few people who violated copyright laws. Don't you think? Well, I do. It's kind of what I deal with on a day to day basis here. Everyone suffers in Turkey when a few take advantage. Maybe that keeps everyone accountable to behave? The innocent people who suffer might keep the perpetrators from doing it again because of pressure? I'm not sure if this is the logic, but in a way it makes some sense even though I don't agree.
